Letter from Publisher
Isn’t it incredible how it can feel like your entire life has changed along with the seasons? That’s how I feel right now! Since the last letter I wrote to you, I have had the joy of becoming a grandmother for the first time, and what a special time it has been! My daughter and her husband welcomed the most precious twins, Bert and Florence, in April and I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last few months getting to know them. I must say, I’m probably biased, but I think they may just be the cutest babies to have ever been born! They have stolen my heart.
I hope you all have had a most enjoyable summer. It was hot. It was humid. But it was Cincinnati, true and true! That’s what we’ve come to know and love, right? To be honest, one of my favorite things about Cincinnati summers is getting out and about, walking along the river at Smale or down to Hyde Park Square, just soaking up the hot sun! I always feel like I must cram all my outdoor activities into the months of June, July, and August, but inevitably I find myself wondering if we’re ever going to get a respite from the heat in October, so I’m hoping we have a few more months left to enjoy our city.
I think we’ve put together another issue full of incredible stories. As a proud Bearcat, I was especially engaged with our cover story featuring UC Foundation President, Peter Landgren. His story is amazing and I think you will find his path fascinating. The story featuring the Lindner Center of HOPE’s Williams House is a great reminder of how incredibly lucky we are to have a community full of the best resources in the country like the Lindner Center of HOPE. The work they do is so important. Read through the issue…I think you’ll find, once again, this issue is full of stories featuring the best people and businesses in Cincinnati!
